Naturally Vegetarian Friendly

Known for Shojin cuisine (Buddhist tradition), the Japanese table offers a wide variety of vegetarian dishes.

Our vegetarian dish are prepared with care and clearly marked on our menu

(v) - vegetarian
(sv)- strict vegetarian (vegan)

Kobachi
Literally means a small plate to serve a sample or taster quantity of almost any dish - the Japanese equivalent of Spanish tapas. Kobachi offers flexible eating and you can order one as a starter or multiple of them in a Tapas style, like we do in Japan

Carbo
Carbohydrate dominated dishes such as Don (on a bed of rice), Mochi (rice cake), and Noodles (Udon, Soba, Somen, Ramen etc.) A topping rich Carbo is a local favourite for a quick meal. A light version of Carbo can be enjoyed after the main dish to finish off a dinner. Most Japanese think any fish/meat/vegetable meal is incomplete without a bowl of plain steamed rice and soup.

Main
Main portion of protein dominated meals which Japanese call Okazu... All our main dishes are authentically Japanese but with contemporary twists, giving a good introduction to the art of Japanese cuisine

Dessert
Our resident pastry chef grew up in Japan and prepares lovely sweets with a touch of Japan, using ingredients such as green tea. Our promise is that you will find our selection of desserts both intriguing and delicious
